Word Vomit

Why speak only coherent and complete thoughts?

Sometimes It Is Not Enough April 9, 2010

Sometimes “I Love You” just aren’t the right words.

They don’t dig deep enough, they don’t cling roughly enough.

Sometimes, you just have no idea what to say.

You just look at them, or think or them, and there’s no words to describe how amazing it is.

You don’t know why you love them. Or how you suddenly got to this place.

You see them everyday. But it’s not enough.

Their touch is enough to send you over the edge.

Yet all you can say is “I Love You.”

And it loses it’s edge. It loses it’s big appeal. The initial shock of hearing those words is gone. It’s normal.

There’s nothing to communicate how much a part of you they are.

You don’t know if they’re your “soul mate” or your “forever partner” or anything else of the sort.

But you really don’t care.

All you want is, at this moment, for them to be yours.

But you just can’t say it.

There’s no way to say it.

There’s nothing normal about losing your breath when you see them.

There’s nothing normal about the way your heart skips a beat.

Why do you always feel the need to say something more?

You open your mouth, and your heart pounds away, and blood rushes to your face.

Yet all that comes out, is “I Love You.”

And it’s just never enough.
