A few explanations: on the first shot (me), the tape that was supposed to be sealing two holes in the chamber let some really hot gases out… singed my hand. The second shot (Luke) used a potato that had partially split before we put it in the barrel… it split in half as it launched. The third shot (Luke): I was checking that no one was coming up the hill because we thought we heard something but it was just the Superbowl parties being really loud in the neighborhood below. The tape gave way again and let the gases (white smoke) escape. Lame.
